Background: Here at Friends of the Earth we occasionally host lunchtime talks to give us food for thought about the challenges and opportunities facing the environmental movement. They might not always be directly related to our core campaigns at Friends of the Earth, this one certainly isn't.
Overview: As AI becomes more integrated into our daily lives, its environmental impact grows. Can AI’s usefulness ever outweigh its environmental harms? Overview: The first workshop in a new online free workshop series from Future Narratives Lab: 'Effective Narratives & Messaging for Coalitions'.This session will be focussed on a central challenge for any coalition working on tough social issues:  finding a concise, effective way of defining their common aim, that is shared with equal enthusiasm by all coalition members, but can also be the basis for consistent and persuasive communication externally. Alongside interactive exercises, Ww’ll also hear from a guest speaker, Mark Raven, Europe Communications Manager at 350.org, talking about his experience creating a shared narrative for a large and conflicted set of organisations, under time pressure.
