Planning for the 2024 Campaigning Forum in Oxford March 19-21
<https://fairsay.com/campaigning-forum-2024> is in full swing, so here are
some updates:
1.
*If you plan to come, apply now as prices go up after Feb 19 (Sunday) *
2. *Participants*: we are now 23 confirmed participants and more are
in-progress. See list at
https://fairsay.com/campaigning-forum-2024/#participants
3. *Speaker day 1 (Mar 20)*: *Antonia Bance* (LinkedIn
<https://www.linkedin.com/in/antoniabance/>) from the TUC will be
talking about preparing for a change in government and what to expect
if/when it happens (last time it happened in the UK was 14 years ago)
4. *Speaker day 2 (new) March 21*: *Benali Hamdache* (LinkedIn
<https://www.linkedin.com/in/benali-hamdache-6472034b/>) will be sharing
examples and principles of local organising that span both charities and
political party work as well as blending offline with online
5. Stream 1: *Diversity and Inclusion* curated by *Geena Patel* (
LinkedIn <https://www.linkedin.com/in/geena-patel/>). Geena will be
asking for input from the community and using her extensive experience to
bring this crucial topic to the event. She will also identify 1-2 people to
join to speak about diversity and inclusion (TBC)
6. Stream 2: *Countering disinformation* curated by *Brian Fitzgerald* (
LinkedIn <https://www.linkedin.com/in/brianfit/>) Brian, whom many of
you know from his work on storytelling and Greenpeace (and was at the first
ECF in 2002!) is pulling together some discussions and he will also
identify 1-2 people to join to speak about diversity and inclusion (TBC)
7. There might be a third stream on digital - but I'm waiting for a
response back (you know who you are ;-).
8. As *ALWAYS* the heart of the event is participants and discussion
between them. All speakers and streams are meant to inspire and inform
those discussions and speakers themselves are there to discuss and learn
too.
...so join us at the 2024 Campaigning Forum in Oxford March 19-21
<https://fairsay.com/campaigning-forum-2024> and if you have any questions
get in touch directly (contact details below or email)....*price goes up
Feb 19* :-)
Cheers,
Duane

Hi everyone,
You signed up to this list to get event updates only, except I usually
forget to post them here - so this is a start :-) (FYI: I founded the list
under the FairSay / ECF identity)
With my PostBug.com hat on (as well as my Campaigning Forum one), I'm
kicking off a series of three election-planning discussions on a Zoom call
<https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUuduGsqDwsHtek4dJUmeEN224CBUiqr_…>:
one for EU elections, one for UK elections and one for US elections:
1. Fri Feb 12 *EU* Election discussion: 12:30 CET/ 11:30 UK
2. Tue Feb 27 *UK* Election discussion: 12:30 CET/ 11:30 UK
3. Thu Feb 29: *US* Election discussion: 11:00 EST / 08:00 PST / 16:00
UK / 17:00 CET
*This will be a discussion with all participants able to contribute. So
consider what you can share and what you may wish to ask others.*
I'll kick off each call with a few minutes about PostBug and using printed
postcards (and letters) for campaigning around elections and beyond.
PostBug can now be used worldwide but I am *emphasizing EU, UK, the US* (and
later in the year Canada (elections on or before October 20, 2025) and
Australia (on or before 27 September 2025))
<https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUuduGsqDwsHtek4dJUmeEN224CBUiqr_…>.
My Zoom account is currently limited to 100 person meetings but I will
upgrade if there is more demand.
I look forward to seeing many of you online and discussing election plans
for 2024!
Cheers,
Duane
PS - I will also use it as input for the upcoming Campaigning Forum event
in Oxford, UK March 19-21 <https://fairsay.com/campaigning-forum-2024> -
join us for an in-person discussion!
